Thinking Differently About Behavior Change
Tuesday, March 21, 2023 @ 10:00 am — 11:00am (MDT)
Making your organization better requires people to behave differently. Whether it’s applying Test-Driven Development, sending out meeting agendas in advance, or putting the new cover sheets on their TPS reports, there’s something that the people you work with could be doing to be more effective. Yet many change efforts fail because people don’t seem to buy in to these new ways of working (even after attending training). This session introduces a way of thinking about what influences behavior: What keeps the current ones in place and what could enable the new ones you want. We’ll explore ways to encourage people to “act their way to a new way of thinking” instead of the other way around.
Please note: All of our Learning Labs are interactive sessions using Zoom and Miro. They are not just us talking to a slideshow. We invite all participants to collaborate on a virtual whiteboard (Miro) and engage in conversations with us and each other. While you are welcome to join in audio-only mode, it will be a challenge to participate, and you may not get much out of the session. Because these sessions are interactive, we do not record them. If you are not familiar with Miro, you can learn more at academy.miro.com.
